MEET THE DJ: JULIAN GREEN

A former chair of our very own MAB board, Julian Green helped to organize our first Winter Freeze event in 2023. This time around, things have come full circle as they prepare to grace the same Winter Freeze stage with an enchanting mix of their own.

Julian got their start after being inspired by the live sets of their close friends who were getting involved in the DJing scene. In March of 2023, they began to experiment with playlisting and curation before evolving to proper DJ equipment. Julian first generated some buzz upon securing a slot on UChicago’s WHPK 88.5 radio station last year, where they showcased their experimentation with a diverse range of dance subgenres.

On 1/29, Julian premiered their new mix “Applying Pressure”, now available on SoundCloud. This is just a taste of the invigorating, high-octane electronic music they’ll be delivering at Winter Freeze on 2/9!
