MEET THE DJ: LITA DA DOLL

“I’m not intimidating, you’re just weak” is a fitting tagline for LITA DA DOLL (formerly known as Zolita), a prominent, authoritative musical voice among Chicago’s most eclectic DJs. Her left-field artistic approach, with aggressive vocal chops and beats that can border on anything from gospel to even horrorcore, make her capable of putting on a one-of-a-kind show. 

Like fellow Winter Freeze performers TRQPITECA, LITA DA DOLL also sports a Boiler Room: Chicago set, something of a badge of honor for gigging DJs citywide. Outside of LITA’s live sets, she can be found adamantly advocating for Trans rights, with a specific emphasis on black transgender women.

LITA’s Soundcloud contains mixes of varying lengths and energies, a testament to her artistic evolution tracing all the way back to 2019. We are at the edge of our seats when it comes to where her artistic journey will take her next, and how it will be incorporated into her set at The Promontory next week.
